4 out of 5 stars Good kit   February 2, 2006

Easy to build, sturdy and durable. It's a typical Velleman kit: a bunch of parts and a preprinted circuit board; it took about an hour to solder all the parts to the board. It's a good alternative to a set of amplified headphones if you want a quiet "practice" amp. Not a lot of tonal variety but it does produce a very clean and pure sound. Only complaint is that it has 1/8" phono plugs when every guitar player in the universe uses 1/4" jacks, so you're going to end up using your entire collection of adapters.
